Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and operate cutting machines according to job orders and specifications.
Quality Control:
Verify cut accuracy, alignment, and quality using rulers, micrometers, and visual checks; perform pre-production runs.
Material Handling:
Load various paper, cardstock, and other printed materials onto the cutter bed.
Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning, oiling, and minor troubleshooting; maintain cutting blades.
Workflow Coordination:
Communicate with press and finishing teams to ensure smooth transitions and meet production schedules.
Record Keeping:
Document production data and report issues to supervisors.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Proven experience as a Cutting Machine Operator in a printing or packaging environment.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of machine settings, calibration, and cutting processes.
