Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant technical field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in painting/coating supervision, preferably in oil & gas, marine, or industrial sectors. Certified in NACE Level 1/2 or BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Level 1/2 (preferred). Good knowledge of international standards (SSPC, ISO, ASTM). Familiarity with HSE practices and procedures related to coating and painting. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all painting and coating work at the site or facility. Ensure surface preparation and coating application comply with specifications, procedures, and quality standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE, ISO). Inspect and evaluate surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and finish. Monitor environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, dew point) to ensure proper application and curing. Prepare and maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and quality control documentation. Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Review and interpret coating specifications, drawings, and material data sheets (MDS). Ensure proper storage, handling, and mixing of paint materials. Verify the calibration of testing instruments such as DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and hygrometers. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE by workers. Provide on-site training and guidance to painting teams as necessary. Assist in the resolution of technical or procedural issues related to painting/coating.
