RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitates a safe work culture, is accountable for the safety of the workers and must understand the legal liability of the leadership role. Ensures housekeeping within designated area is kept at an acceptable level. Ensures that the finished product coming out of designated area is checked and accepted in accordance with the appropriate quality control procedures. Communicates clearly to the Human Resources Department and Yard Superintendent when employees are not adhering to policies, or are not participating at an acceptable level of safety involvement, quality or productivity. Allocates manpower accordingly to meet the goals of the daily and weekly schedule. Notifies Yard Superintendent of discrepancies in daily and weekly schedule or any concerns regarding schedule dates. Ensures employee time cards are complete and allocation of hour to specific jobs are accurate. Reviews fabrication drawings prior to commencing work to ensure effectively pre-planning of the job. Informs Yard Superintendent of any tools or equipment that is required to safely and effectively complete work. Adhere to the HSE Policy. Adhere to the Management Information System. KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITIES Good command over the English language. Good Communication skills. Supervisory Skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: - 5 years of welding experience.
