Review Paint Material Submittal to confirm the requirements are in line with Project Specification.
Inspect Paint Materials, Batch Test Certificate, MSDS etc. with respect to Project Specification and Approved Painting system/ Paint material submittal.
Prepare and Submit Material Inspection Request to client and get approval for paint materials before releasing for Painting.
Inspect the Abrasive materials and review Test Report used for Surface preparation
Check and record Weather Condition daily during surface preparation and painting.
Carry out inspection and testing after surface preparation.
Check paint materials issued for painting as per the project requirement.
Check and record mixing ration and mixing time for paints as applicable.
Check WFT, DFT after painting and prepare painting inspection report.
Responsible for inspection and approval from TPI and Client for painted materials.
Record and analyze paint defects monthly project wise and take corrective action.
Analyze paint Consumption Project wise.
Prepare Quality Alerts for Paint Related defects.
Provide Training to Blasters and Painters for Good Painting Practice
Perform any other work assigned by immediate supervisor.
Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
NACE Level II or BGAS Level II Certified Coating Inspector
Must be good in MS Office , Oral and written communication in English Language.
Shall be aware of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
Must be familiar with 3 Coat Painting system, Fireproof Coating System, Hot Dip Galvanizing etc.
Must be familiar with Tests related to Abrasives, paint materials, Test after Surface Preparation, Tests after Painting etc.
Must be familiar with ISO Codes , ASTM, SSPC codes etc, related to painting, inspection and testing.
