This role requires both aesthetic attention and practical knowledge of weather-resistant paints and finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
Apply various types of paint, stains, varnishes, and sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Paint and restore landscape-related structures such as:
Wooden or metal fences
Outdoor walls and sheds
Garden sculptures or decorative elements
Ensure surfaces are properly protected from the elements using appropriate coatings.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, especially around landscaped zones with plants and soil.
Collaborate with landscape designers or foremen to ensure aesthetic consistency in outdoor spaces.
Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools.
Follow all safety protocols and environmental guidelines when using chemicals and paints.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a professional painter, with portfolio or references.
Experience in painting outdoor and landscaped environments.
Knowledge of paint types and surface compatibility (especially wood, metal, and stone).
Familiarity with landscaping materials and challenges (e.g., moisture exposure, sunlight, plant contact).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical stamina to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of colour matching and visual design.
Background in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance is an advantage.
