Job Description

as a Painter Fitout involves surface preparation like sanding and filling, applying various paints, varnishes, and finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, and ensuring high-quality, consistent, and precise results for interior fit-out projects. This role requires color matching, the use of different application tools, adherence to safety regulations including wearing PPE, and effective collaboration with project managers and other construction trades to meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation:

Cleaning, washing, patching, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure they are smooth and ready for paint application.

Painting and Finishing:

Applying coats of paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.

Color and Texture:

Mixing and matching paint colors to achieve the specified shades and applying decorative techniques like stenciling or texturing as per design.

Quality Control:

Inspecting work to ensure a flawless, consistent finish and touching up any imperfections.

Maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and the overall work environment.

Collaboration:

Working closely with interior designers, project managers, and other fit-out trades to coordinate workflow and meet project schedules.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhering to health and safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and following proper procedures for hazardous materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a painter, particularly in interior fit-out projects. Proficiency in various painting techniques and the use of tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Ability to perform detailed surface preparation. Strong knowledge of color matching and achieving desired finishes. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Good physical dexterity and the ability to work in various environments. Familiarity with safety procedures and handling of hazardous materials. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.
