Job Description

Job Purpose:

To perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting systems. Inspect and test electrical control systems, motors, wiring, panels, and safety devices. Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, drives, and PLC systems related to crane operations. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure compliance with safety standards, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and electrical codes. Support mechanical team during crane installation, commissioning, and upgrades. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation. Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure quick resolution to maintain operations. Assist in periodic crane load testing, inspections, and statutory compliance checks. Collaborate with operations and HSE teams to ensure safe working conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in overhead cranes and lifting equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, control panels, motors, VFDs, and PLC systems. Familiarity with safety standards, PTW systems, and industrial regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
