Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Consultant with a specialization in Sports Medicine to join a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, particularly those related to sports and physical activity. The role involves both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care, collaboration with rehabilitation teams, and active participation in athlete health management.

The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, particularly those related to sports and physical activity. The role involves both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care, collaboration with rehabilitation teams, and active participation in athlete health management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist orthopedic consultations, with a focus on sports-related injuries and conditions.
- Perform advanced diagnostic evaluations using imaging and clinical assessment techniques.
- Deliver surgical and non-surgical treatment plans tailored to athletes and active individuals.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, sports scientists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care, including rehabilitation planning.
- Support injury prevention programs for athletes and patients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions and preventive care.
- Participate in continuing medical education, hospital teaching rounds, and case conferences.
- Engage in research, quality improvement, and/or sports medicine community outreach, if applicable.
- Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship or advanced training in Sports Medicine.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery and/or Sports Medicine.
- Valid medical license.
- Minimum 6 years post-residency experience, with at least 2 years in a sports medicine-focused role.
- Experience treating elite/professional athletes is an asset.
- Demonstrated surgical competence in managing sports-related.
- Experience working in a hospital or sports clinic setting.
