An exciting opportunity for a candidate with a solid background in freight forwarding in our Sea Freight department in Operations, Export to join our team in the Dubai branch. Detailed Responsibilities:
Document receipt; vet & Job creation
Initiate bookings to Carrier / Co-loader as per the routing guide/rate card
Co-ordinate with Customer / Net work office to get their green light on the schedule
Co-ordinate with Shipper, Transport team to plan for the loading
Arrange for additional documentary requirement if any i.e. COO, Export License, etc
Co-ordinate for Customs inspection if require
BOL draft preparation, seek approval & release the final BOL to Customer
Track the shipment as per the scope
Ensure smoother day to day operations
Billing with 100% accuracy & Dispatch the documents to Customer
Ensure to meet DSV’s Global & Customer KPI’s
Ensure Sanctions & other compliances at all level
Keep shipment tracker & report to the management when it’s required
Maintain Department SOP’s and rates for all customers
Ensure to keep good rapport with Customers & Vendors
Ensure cost effective and compliance while using Vendors
Ensure and monitor the KEY trade lane developments
Ensure timely resolution/response of any discrepancy/escalation from Customer / Vendors
Maintain handover sheet during annual or emergency leave
Resolve issues regarding damage/ claims and ensure to escalate these issues on timely manner.
Qualifications & Characteristics:
Minimum of 4 year’s experience of working in a customer service role in freight forwarding industry.
A Bachelor’s degree.
Customer service oriented and result driven.
Good communication, influencing and organisation skills.
Must be able to take ownership of problems and provide solutions to clients in a timely manner.
Ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally within a timely manner
Excellent team player and support team as and when required.
Ability to define requirements, analyse facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
