Job Purpose

Control all operations in Minhad to ensure that all activities (refueling and otherwise) are carried out safely and on time following all the procedures laid down in Aviation Fuelling Operations and Aviation Quality Control Manuals.

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities

Monitor all operations so that they are carried out in compliance with relevant manuals and standards by:
Allocating properly trained and certified operators for all aviation operations.
Conducting spot checks to identify lapses in the operations and take corrective action as and when required.
Advising the EA training department about any updates/upgrades to staff skills/knowledge that may be required from time to time.
Ensures that all fueling operations are carried out as per schedule by:
Obtaining schedules from airlines operating at the airbase (wherever possible).
Managing the manpower for effective operations by proper vacation planning and effective duty rosters for staff under him.
Coordinating with the Maintenance department to ensure that adequate number of equipment is made available for refueling and defueling operations.
Monitor stocks at the location thereby ensuring that adequate stocks are always available in Minhad to meet customer requirements by monitoring stocks at all tank farms in Minhad and maintaining close liaison with EIL & EPPCO Distribution to ensure regular stock replenishment.
Meet shareholder expectations:
Mutually agreed customer requirements (related to invoicing/operations) are met consistently.
Customer invoicing data is uploaded without any delays or errors.
Monitors and takes corrective action for all accounting and other documentation in the location like:
Sales / stock transactions in customized accounting software for stock reconciliation and subsequent data transfer for invoicing.
Month end closing for sales and stock transactions.
Documentation of Operational Quality Control Checks carried out.
Verifies that all operations are carried out in adherence to laid down norms for EHS and taking corrective action as required by:
Collaborates with EHS department for Risk Assessments as required.
Supports EHS department in ensuring all safety regulations are followed at all times.
Reports all Occupational health issues to EHS, HR & ENOC Clinic.
Directs all staff to wear mandated PPE while carrying out any operation.
Provides all necessary non-operational support to operating staff, by:
Procuring adequate stocks of Shell Water Detector and other consumables like stationery, etc.
Select and procure proper and adequate PPE as per operational need.
Select and procurement of proper uniform for staff.
Reviews and acts upon various employee related issues which include:
Performance appraisal and general development of supervisors and operators.
Percolating safety culture, industry best practices and company values amongst staff.
Provide guidance and support to all reporting staff including Corrective Action or counseling for errant employees.

Experience

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma with at least 2 years of work experience in a supervisory position.
Experience in the oil industry or aviation industry would be an added advantage.
Proficiency in English and good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic language is mandatory.
Should exhibit behavioral competencies which include team work, customer focus, performance orientation, influencing others, strategic thinking, problem solving, etc.
Good IT skills with competence in word processing, spreadsheets & databases.
