The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Officer to join a well-established and supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post of Operations Officer is key in supporting the efficient day-to-day running of school facilities and events.
Health and Safety Roles
Induction - Conducts General Health and Safety induction to all new BISAD staff.
Sphera Incidents and Hazards - Serves as Sphera-Events approver for all reported incidents, near-misses, and hazards. Additionally, assist staff members having challenges in accessing and filling out report on Sphera. Verify and attend to reported hazards in Sphera (emails). Makes sure that FP/Sec/ADNH resolve the hazards.
PEEP Forms - Security reports staff or students with mobility challenges to the clinic to assessment. Consequently, meet and discuss to the concerned the evacuation procedure in case of emergency.
Risk Assessments - Work with Operations Manager and concerned individual/s and support staff in the preparation and planning of Risk Assessments
Toolbox Talk - Prepare toolbox talk with Security/FP/Bus Monitors.
OSH Meetings - Take minutes of meeting during OSH Committee meetings (with SLT)
Traffic Duty - Provide marshalling support for safer environment and traffic flow in the school\'s car park
Operational Routines - Leads operation on routine walkthrough ensuring proper documentations are secured for reporting compliance on Sphera.
Bus Support / DOT - Support/monitor school bus servicing operations, respond to parents\' inquiries, ensure bus monitors adhere to protocols, daily bus inspection checklist
Facilities and Procurement
Facilities
Provide support to various projects (i.e. building DT Engineering, Modification of Reception and Multipurpose Halls, Construction of Eco-Edventure Facility
This involves collaborating in the concept and design stages, preparing draft plans (AUTOCAD), assembling and coordinating project staff (contractors and sub contractors), organising reports and monitoring progress.
Managing the third-party compliances on existing and completed projects
This involves preparing the snag list for contractors\' action, preparing local plans for new classroom set ups, performing inspections to ensure maintenance schedules and cleaning routines are completed correctly and conducting routine briefings to the security team monitoring their compliance.
Procurement and Payments
Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers; Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
Prepare requisitions.
Collate documents to Finance for payment runs.
