Operations Manager (Manufacturing and Repair Services)

Trinity Mechanical Services (TMS) has three decades of experience in repair, reconditioning and manufacturing of critical mechanical components and assemblies. Since its establishment in 1988 as a machine shop, TMS has kept pace with ever changing requirements of diverse industries ranging from oil & gas, marine, dredging, power generation, construction and heavy engineering. TMSaEUR(TM)s purpose-built, state-of-the-art workshops are equipped with heavy and CNC machinery and a dedicated welding and fabrication yard that can handle large equipment and components. Role Description As an Operations Manager, Manufacturing and Repair Services at Trinity Holdings, you will oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing and repair services division. This is a full-time on-site role located in Dubai. Your responsibilities will include managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient workflow, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. Overall responsibility for Design, CNC Machine Shop, Conventional Machine Shop, Fabrication Shop, Production Planning & Estimation departments with the help of department in-charges. Setting up of overall objectives for the Design, Conv. Machine Shop & Assy, CNC Machine Shop & Fabrication departments. Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure that the product conforms to delivery schedule and expected quality meeting customer requirements. Leading and motivating subordinates to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing team. Recruitment, appraisal, retrenchment, motivation, welfare, discipline of manpower. Ensure customer satisfaction and conflict resolution with customer. Setting and monitoring targets for departments and providing suitable resources and direction. Accountability: Effective operations control and corrective actions when required. Maintain high standard of work ethics, teamwork, resolve conflicts or escalate to next level. Performance and appraisal of team. Training and mentoring to meet expectations of their responsibilities. Authority: Decisions related with allocation of resources (man, machine, material) for regular operational works. Development of new products, and segments as per evolving market demands. Review & approve documents that are outputs of Design department (ex: drawings, design packages etc) Submissions of tenders, negotiations of contracts, approving changes to scope, cost, delivery schedules. Recruitment, retrenchment, discipline, growth of team. Appraisals of industrial employees in consultation with reporting director. Recommendations for appraisals of non-industrial staff to management. Approve all operational expenses, purchases, sub-contracts related with projects/shop works. (if there are any financial limits set for upper limit, this shall be specified by Board of Directors) Preparation of business case for CAPEX for approval to invest in new machines, infrastructure etc. to meet market demand for expansion/diversification/replacement. Qualifications Experience in managing manufacturing and repair operations Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of production scheduling and workflow coordination Proficiency in implementing process improvements and quality standards Budget management and resource allocation skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field Experience in the engineering sector is preferred Seniority level
