The Operations Manager will oversee end-to-end operations in the FMCG sector, ensuring efficient supply chain management, production planning, distribution, and process optimization. The role requires a dynamic professional with strong leadership skills, cultural adaptability, and deep understanding of the FMCG market to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations including procurement, inventory, warehousing, production, and distribution.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee logistics, supply chain, and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operations with business objectives.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, health, and safety standards.
Lead, mentor, and train operational staff to build strong team performance.
Drive automation and digitalization of processes to optimize productivity.
Prepare operational reports and present insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (master's preferred).
Minimum
5-10 years of experience
in operations within the FMCG industry.
Proven track record in managing supply chain, warehousing, and distribution networks.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Native Sinhala speaker
with strong communication skills in Sinhala and English.
