Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Incharge - Air Cargo & Courier Specialist to oversee and manage the operational aspects of our air cargo and courier services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, air cargo management, and courier operations, with the ability to lead teams, streamline processes, and ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the air cargo and courier department. Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and couriers to ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Ensure that all air cargo and courier shipments comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards. Optimize operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and manage a team of operations staff, including cargo handlers, logistics coordinators, and administrative personnel. Provide training and development opportunities to team members, ensuring they stay updated on industry best practices and regulations. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment while ensuring high productivity levels.

Customer Service:

Serve as the point of contact for customers, addressing concerns or issues related to air cargo and courier services. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services. Manage customer complaints or escalations in a timely and effective manner.

Logistics Coordination:

Plan and coordinate the movement of air cargo and courier shipments, ensuring that they meet deadlines and are properly documented. Monitor shipment progress and track air cargo through various stages, ensuring timely delivery. Work with customs and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth clearance processes.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure that all air cargo and courier shipments are fully compliant with international shipping laws, regulations, and documentation requirements. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking details, delivery confirmations, and any issues encountered during the shipment process. Review and update internal procedures regularly to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including delivery times, inventory levels, and any discrepancies. Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management to enhance operational processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in air cargo operations or courier services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of air cargo regulations, international shipping laws, and customs procedures. Proven experience in managing and optimizing air cargo and courier operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in logistics or supply chain management. Familiarity with air cargo handling procedures and safety protocols. Multilingual capabilities to communicate with international clients and partners.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with potential overtime during peak periods. Office and warehouse-based role, with some travel required. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones or urgent shipments.
