Synopsis

To independently identify operational challenges, derive data-driven solutions & communicate actionable insights to support the Global Airports & Network Operations division. Create comprehensive PowerBI reports for recurring reporting & (automated) operational decision-making. The job holder is expected to swiftly understand various operational topics & to subsequently run ad-hoc analysis using the OpsBI platform or independently sourced datasets. Focus areas for analysis include on-time performance, mishandled baggage, or customer satisfaction

Accountabilities

• Drive ad-hoc analysis & root cause analysis to derive actionable insights for the Global Airports & Network Operations division
• Accountable to identify, communicate, & support implementation of operational improvement opportunities
• Summarize & visualize analysis results and, if required, operationalise analysis in PowerBI
• Drive opportunities for analysis / report automation & develop automated decision-making support tools to be used by a wide range of users
• Organise & host working / steering groups to drive initiatives
• Support the development & expansion of Etihad\'s operational data resources & OpsBI platform
• Mentor & lead Operations Efficiency Insights Analyst

Education & Experience

• Educated to degree level (min. Bachelor) in aviation management, business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics, or similar field
• 3-5 years\' professional experience in quantitative role, e.g. analytics or performance management
• Proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint; advanced skills in MS PowerBI (or similar); basic knowledge in SQL
• Experience in managing a small team
• Preferably experience in aviation industry, particularly operations
