Job Title - Operations Director

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Package: up to 50,000 AED per month, plus package

I\'m currently supporting a global contract catering organisation, with their search for an Operations Director to support their ever growing project portfolio across the Middle Eastern region.

The organisation operate within Oil & Gas/Energy, Marine, & Renewable verticals, and specialise in providing bespokecatering and support services in offshore environments.

In short, the Operations Director shall provide proactive management and leadership to the onshore and offshore Operations teams under their remit including Operations Managers, Ops Support Managers and offshore Camp Boss\xe2\x80\x99, whilst managing contract specific components, delivering high quality standards of service to customer and client while ensuring adherence to company HSE, HR and legislative procedures and systems while ensuring budget adherence and financial goals in P&L.

The role will also require regular travel / offshore site visits across the Middle East to other countries of operation to provide oversight, audit and client interface where needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Effective management and delivery of catering operations and designated services within budgetary targets.
  • Provide professional advice, guidance, information and support to management and employees in relation to operational service delivery.
  • To maintain food and service contract delivery across the business to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all mobilization processes in line with client and company procedures and applicable country law.
  • Support mobilisations and demobilisations components as operational required.
  • Provide updates on project activity and feedback on operational staff to support the crewing team to be appropriately resourced with competent crew for current and future demands.
  • Responsible for HSE compliance within the catering services.
  • Support the continued external accreditation of company IMS system.
  • Ensure that company policy and procedures are in place, reviewed and delivered in line with business requirements and changes.
  • Liaise closely with other regional Operations Director to ensure one way of working, with local content as and when required.
  • Lead the Operational Management team to ensure management of Camp bosses in delivery of required service to client, HSE management, budget management and people development.
  • Regular onshore client interface, verbally and face to face, delivering contractual KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and accurate client reporting, along with minimum 4 annual offshore site visits - conducting audits, client meetings, staff meetings, ensuring good quality service delivery and verifying standards and service levels being met according to contractual agreements.
  • Ensure monthly required financial procedures are followed to allow correct and accurate overhead reporting and client invoicing.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of our critical assets \xe2\x80\x93 our people.
  • Manage any employees issues, disciplinary or grievance procedure requirements with support from HR.
  • Interface with customer and client offshore and onshore, providing reports and statistics where required.
  • Actively seek and identify opportunities and innovation for business growth with focus on latest food trends and best practices.
  • Provide assistance and advice toward the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
  • Leading by example on the Company\xe2\x80\x99s culture, behaviours and values.
  • Support, coach, train and develop the Operations and HSE functions.
  • Project work, tender support or any other reasonable task as required.
Requirements:
  • Must have an offshore catering career history with minimum 8 years in an operational management role.
  • Background in managing group commercial contracts offshore.
  • Professional constructive behaviour; ability to work in different cultures and countries.
  • Self motivated, but ability to work as part of a small team, being flexible in work approach, comfortable working low-level detail and high level strategy and working to support the team.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, accountability in handling clients and projects.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
  • Offshore survival and relevant catering qualifications.
