With our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant to support our operations team in Ras Al Khaimah. Position Overview: As an Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our shipping agency in Ras Al Khaimah. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth coordination of activities related to vessel operations, cargo handling, documentation, and customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating vessel arrivals, departures, and port operations.
- Handle documentation processes such as bill of lading, customs clearance, and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate with port authorities, customs officials, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor cargo loading and unloading activities, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on shipment status.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases related to operations.
- Support the operations team in resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during shipping activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the shipping industry.
- Bachelor\'s degree.
- Strong understanding of shipping operations, including documentation processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of UAE shipping regulations and procedures is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
