Job Summary:

• Danat Al Emarat, our Women's and Children's Hospital in Abu Dhabi, is actively recruiting for a Registered Nurse , who would perform in the provision of quality nursing care by maintaining accurate records in the EMR and in the maintenance of professional standards through continuing education and development.
• Responsible for the orientation and induction training of new, junior Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses.
• Accountable for ensuring all services rendered are consistent with their education and assessed competence, meet legislative requirements and are supported by appropriate standards.
• Understands, supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of organization. Provides age appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice as defined by DoH.
  

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment.
• To perform and document patient assessment which incorporates all available data.
• To use nursing knowledge and Clinical expertise in performing physical examination and patient assessment.
• To identify from assessment, actual and potential problems in collaboration with patient and family.
• To appropriately escalate identified concerns according to level of urgency.
• Uses evidence based practice in the provision of care.
• To plan, document and discuss nursing care plan with the patient and family using the nursing process and priorities of nursing care.
• To continually update the nursing care plan as patient status demands.
• To appropriately escalate identified concerns according to level of urgency.
• To commence discharge planning as soon as it is feasible in collaboration with the patient, family and significant others.
• To use the nursing process to set priorities in the delivery of care.
• Delegate and supervise nursing care delivered by Practical Nurses.
• Document in the EMR as required.
• Coordinate care delivered by the multidisciplinary team.
• Evaluation
• To evaluate any and all changes in patient condition.
• To revise the plan of care as necessary on the basis of evaluation.
• To communicate evaluation and subsequent plan to patient/family / significant others and health team.
  

Qualifications Required:

• Bacheloraa,a,,s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing School/University.
• Current BLS Certificate.
• Current ACLS / NRP preferred.

Essential Requirements:

• Current HAAD Nursing License.
• Current Home Country license.

Preferred Requirements:

• At least 2 years clinical experience post qualification
• Not less than 1 yearsaa,a,, experience in Obstetric or gynecology nursing.
• Arabic Speaker (not essential)
