Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY The primary job of an O&M Process Engineer is to design systems that safely treat wastewater to remove any harmful substances and return them to the ecosystem. Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows. Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures. Assembles reports documenting process status and changes. Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. MAIN TASKS
- Supervises the work of operators/ technician on the project including providing technical guidance and reviewing work and results.
- Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities. Recommend improvements and modifications whenever required.
- Establishes schedules and methods for providing plant operations and maintenance services; identifies resource needs; reviews need with appropriate management staff; allocates resources accordingly.
- Trouble shooting, issue identification and resolution particularly with respect to process, operation, and equipment operation.
- Coordinated with maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Also, participation in shutdowns activities.
- Preparing the daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports including material, chemical, and action plans to achieve good plant performance. Also prepare the SOPs, MS, and RA for operational activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractor for chemical delivery on time at site and provide the estimated quantity of next month requirement. Review and validate contractor\xe2\x80\x99s monthly invoices.
- Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is adequately implemented.
- Coordinate and reviewing the work of previous contractor to close out the snag list for operation side.
- Minimum Engineering (preferably Industrial, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Chemical) / relevant subject, preferably with UPDA or in process.
- Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in wastewater treatment / operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of wastewater analysis for parameters (BOD/COD/TDS/HARDNESS/TSS/CYANIDE/METALS).
- Oxidation /reduction process of wastewater treatment, knowledge of water Recycling systems like Reverse osmosis /Evaporations/Drying system, ZLD \xe2\x80\x93 Zero Liquid discharge system.
- Knowledge of Aerobic biological process for sewage treatment plant
- Knowledge of various chemicals handlings.
- Handling knowledge of SLUDGE dewatering system. Ability to support strategic changes.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is mandatory.
- Proficient in various computer software and Office 365 and good ability to prepare reports.
- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
