Job Summary:

The Head of Operations - Construction is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction through to delivery. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep knowledge of construction operations, resource planning, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the operational planning and execution of multiple construction projects across various sites. Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Monitor overall project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal regulations, and environmental requirements. Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment across projects. Drive cost control measures and support the preparation and tracking of operational budgets. Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess performance and compliance. Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance management. Report regularly to executive leadership on project performance, risks, and key milestones. Implement and monitor quality assurance/control programs across all operational activities. Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing teams, including project managers, site managers, and field engineers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).

2-5 years of experience in construction operations,

Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore). Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
