Operations Executive - Sea Freight Division
. The incumbent will be responsible for obtaining competitive quotes from shipping agents and liners, managing vendor communications and ensuring seamless operational execution of sea freight services. This role requires a professional with strong commercial acumen, operational expertise and strict adherence to UAE regulatory compliance and company policies. The position is critical to safeguarding the company's financial, legal and operational interests while supporting business growth and service excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Source, request, and evaluate quotations from shipping agents, liners, and freight vendors for sea freight operations, ensuring competitive pricing and contractual compliance.
Collaborate closely with the sales, customs clearance, and warehouse teams to coordinate logistics solutions across air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, storage, packing, and palletization services.
Maintain accurate records of quotations, vendor communications, and operational transactions to support decision-making, audits, and compliance reporting.
Negotiate service agreements and operational terms with agents and liners, ensuring alignment with company policies, regulatory standards, and risk management protocols.
Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations, international shipping laws, and internal operational policies to mitigate operational, financial, and legal risks.
Track shipment schedules, deviations, and agent performance, providing timely updates to management and stakeholders.
Identify operational inefficiencies, propose process improvements, and implement standardized procedures to optimize cost, service quality, and turnaround times.
Safeguard proprietary company information, client data, and commercial agreements, ensuring strict adherence to internal governance, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
Support senior management in strategic planning, reporting, and operational decision-making by providing actionable insights and market intelligence.
Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sea freight operations, preferably with experience in sourcing quotations from agents and liners.
Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, international shipping practices, and logistics compliance requirements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems, freight management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring operational accuracy and legal compliance.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
