We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Onsite Supervisor to oversee and manage the operations of a significant waste management contract for one of our key clients in Iraq. You will be handling the day to day on site waste management operations duties to include but not be limited to the below:
Supervise and manage onsite personnel to ensure compliance with operational, HSE and control of work requirements at all times
Manage transportation of all wastes from respective process area collection points to the waste yards or final disposal in accordance with Journey Management Procedure requirements
Act as a safety leader promoting the desired safety culture on site at all times and the use of Stop Work Authority by all personnel.
Maintain an inventory of the respective waste types and quantities in storage
Ensure efficient segregation of all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and recyclables
Ensure the right recourse allocation to handle and transport waste to the pre-defined waste disposal destination
Verifying correct labelling and placards of wastes for temporary storage and transfer to third
Ensure Waste Transfer Area housekeeping
Coordinate and collaborate with the client representatives to deliver the work as need be
The successful candidate will have:
High school diploma
IOSH/NEBOSH Health & Safety certificate qualification desirable
Chartered Institute of Waste Management WAMITAB Level 1 Award or equivalent desirable
Must be competent in the identification and handling of respective wastes in regard to regulatory, health risk and potential exposure requirements
Must be competent in waste management, correct segregation of wastes, recycling procedures, waste transportation and documentation for the waste tracking system
Have a minimum of 5 years technical experience with understanding of truck loading, vacuum truck loading, Waste management activities
Has completed Oil and gas specific HSSE training and has past HSSE management skills
Ability to give toolbox talk and build relationships with all on site customers as well as other
Personnel
Must be able to communicate both in writing and verbally \xe2\x80\x93 English an asset but not required
Salary and benefits:
This is a full-time resident position in Iraq (6 day working week) with a salary commensurate with experience.
