About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical team as an OJT Instructor B1.


As an "OJT Instructor B1", you will be responsible for conducting EASA/QCAR Part 147 practical training, assessments and perform duties as trainer, mentor and assessor for OJT programme on aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways and customers. Develop, review and update practical training/OJT syllabuses in accordance with applicable regulations.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Responsible in development, review and update practical training record books to develop necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes required for maintenance staff. Carry out the practical training and/or assessments in the aircraft environment to the standards specified in MTOE. Develop and present proposals to practical training course plans and other components of aircraft type Practical training courses conducted to improve quality and to maintain technical accuracy. Prepare Assessment Forms for practical type training in the aircraft environment, to the standards specified in MTOE, when acting as assessor on particular practical type training. Supervise the entire assessment process and ensure the safety of assessment related documents. Conduct OJT programs in accordance with the requirements approved by National Aviation Authorities to ensure trainees have acquired required knowledge, skills and attitudes before applying to first aircraft type endorsement Maintain Maintenance Engineer and Practical Assessor Authorizations validity.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) in Aeronautical Engineering, holds ICAO/QCAA/EASA License and holds at least 2 Aircraft types Authorizations on aircraft fleet operated by the Qatar Airways. Minimum 5 years of job-related experience. EASA Part 147 Certificate of Recognition issued for the type training successfully completed on the relevant A/C(s) for Theoretical and Practical elements. Knowledge about regulatory requirements for technical training (QCAR/EASA Part 145/147/66). Practical and technical knowledge needed including management skills. Competent in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Be able to demonstrate adequate English Language proficiency be at a minimum of equivalent to the B1 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for language (CEFR)
