MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To ensure full compliance with GCAA CAR-66/145 regulations and company policies, maintain safety and regulatory standards, and contribute to on-time performance through effective maintenance staff planning and management by optimizing manpower deployment and shift coverage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures maintenance manpower rosters are monitored and managed post-publication in compliance with GCAA CAR-66/145 regulations and company policies.
Monitors current and upcoming maintenance activities to ensure adequate certifying and supporting staff coverage in line with operational requirements.
Maintains full situational awareness of manpower and operational status to identify potential risks or disruptions, promptly escalating to senior team members for proactive resolution.
Supports development and execution of contingency or recovery plans during operational disruptions or when aircraft serviceability is at risk.
Coordinates and communicates with maintenance staff, shift supervisors, and other operational departments to resolve manpower or scheduling conflicts efficiently.
Ensures all tasks are completed in a very responsible manner, which could involve workforce and asset allocation, coordination with maintenance teams, or communication with relevant stakeholders and management.
Ensures every change of duty or shift assigned to maintenance personnel is carefully evaluated to mitigate risks to safety, regulatory compliance, and aircraft serviceability.
Evaluates the impact on maintenance resources, manpower availability, and operational costs when planning maintenance work patterns, particularly during ad-hoc tasks, unscheduled maintenance, or Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
Escalates potential risks related to manpower shortages, skill gaps, or operational bottlenecks to the senior team.
Provides input on maintenance workforce planning and scheduling strategies to improve efficiency and productivity without compromising quality, safety, or regulatory compliance.
Ensures accurate tracking and consolidation of working hours, rest periods, and certifications to prevent regulatory infringements and ensure proper staff allocation.
Ensures any changes to maintenance schedules or staff assignments that affect operational readiness, such as the availability of certifying engineers and mechanics are promptly managed to prevent delays, safety risks, or additional costs to the company.
Provides guidance and first-line support to staff using RMS, ensuring consistent and effective system use.
Supports audit readiness and compliance by maintaining accurate workforce and asset records and by documenting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
Degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Operations Management, or a related field; or equivalent professional qualification.
Fluent in English
Minimum 1 year of experience in managing or coordinating maintenance workforce and/or asset planning within an airline, aviation, or technical operations
Knowledge of the Maintenance RMS system and AMOS is desirable; expertise in Microsoft Office and other reporting tools
Years with qualifications: 4 - 6 years

ISR Requirements: Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
