Job Title: Nokia Rigger

Location: UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

Department: Telecom Operations Salary Range: 2000-2200 AED

Job Purpose:

To perform installation, maintenance, alignment, and troubleshooting of Nokia telecom equipment on towers, rooftops, and other structures, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Commissioning

Install and align Nokia antennas, RRUs, microwave dishes, feeders, jumpers, and other related telecom equipment.

Perform cabling, grounding, and weatherproofing according to Nokia standards. Ensure correct azimuth, tilt, and height configurations.

2. Maintenance & Upgrades

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Nokia network infrastructure.

Upgrade existing Nokia sites as per project requirements (e.g., 3G to 4G/5G). Perform swap activities for equipment replacement or technology change.

3. Testing & Quality Control

Conduct VSWR, DTF, PIM, and power measurements using relevant tools.

Verify site parameters according to engineering specifications. Complete site audit reports with photos and documentation.

4. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols for working at heights (WAH) and confined spaces.

Use PPE and climbing gear as per industry and company safety standards.

Comply with local labor laws, site access rules, and client-specific procedures.

5. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily progress logs and share updates with the supervisor/project manager.

Submit as-built documentation for each completed site.

Ensure proper tagging and labelling of all installed equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years as a telecom rigger, preferably with Nokia projects.

2. Certifications:

Working at Heights (WAH)

Rigging & Lifting Safety

RF Awareness

First Aid (preferred)

3. Technical Knowledge:

Nokia equipment installation standards.

RF and MW antenna alignment.

Fiber, coax, and power cable handling.

Tools Handling: Site Master, Anritsu, Compass, GPS, and laser tools.

4. Language: Basic English communication (Arabic an advantage).

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work at heights up to 60 meters.

2. Physically fit with no medical restrictions for climbing.

3. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Additional Information:

1. Must be willing to travel to multiple site locations.

2. Flexible to work night shifts/weekends based on project needs.

3. Valid driving license preferred.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
