Network Engineer Level 2
Job Description
Perform provisioning and support for Fortinet security appliances (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, etc.).
Manage Arista EOS-based data center networks (leaf-spine architecture, VXLAN, MLAG).
Configure and optimize Arista switches (7050X, 7280R, etc.) for high-performance environments.
Manage firewall policies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), NAT, and UTM features.
Monitor, analyze, and respond to incidents and alerts.
Assist in the design and implementation of secure network solutions.
Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues from Level 1 engineers or clients.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure security policies are implemented and enforced.
Maintain and update documentation, including network diagrams and procedures.
Participate in regular system audits and health checks.
Support firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration backups.
Create reports and logs for compliance and analysis using Forti Analyzer or other tools.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in network security or a related field. Hands-on experience with Fortinet products, especially FortiGate firewalls. Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.). Familiarity with IPS/IDS, content filtering, anti-virus, and application control. Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fortinet NSE 4
certification (or higher) strongly preferred. Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. Experience with FortiSwitch and FortiAP is a plus. Knowledge of other network products (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto) is also a plus.Job Type: Full-time
