We are currently recruiting for a Network Engineer for our trusted client to be based out of their office in Dubai.
Purpose:
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability and improve network performance for all systems and monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete technical documentation and Network architecture diagrams.
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company\xe2\x80\x99s security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Maintaining computer networks including VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware inventory up to date.
- Maintaining firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- Hands on experience on Cisco Firewall\'s, Cisco Core Switches and Cisco Edge switches.
- Hands on experience with Network segmentation/subnetting.
- Hands on experience with multiple sites.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Must be certified in CCIE.
- University degree in Computer Science
