Role:

IT/ Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure for Video Management Systems (VMS), CCTV, and Access Control Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking principles and security systems, with a proven track record of supporting complex security installations. This role will involve collaboration with the security and IT teams to ensure the seamless integration and operation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Deployment:

Design and configure network infrastructure for VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, ensuring robust connectivity and performance. Implement and maintain network solutions that support the seamless operation of security systems, including IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and access control panels.

Network Security:

Ensure the security of networked security systems by configuring firewalls, Switches VLANs, and other network security measures. Monitor and respond to security threats or vulnerabilities related to VMS, CCTV, and Access Control networks.

System Integration and Maintenance:

Integrate VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Perform regular maintenance and updates to network equipment and security systems to prevent downtime and ensure reliability.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Diagnose and resolve network issues affecting VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, minimizing disruption to security operations. Provide technical support and guidance to security personnel and other stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of these systems.

Documentation and Compliance:

Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, system layouts, and security protocols for all security systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the deployment and operation of security systems.

Collaboration:

Work closely with security teams, IT departments, and external vendors to ensure the successful deployment and operation of VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems. Participate in the planning and execution of new security system projects, upgrades, and expansions.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in network engineering, particularly in security systems such as Firewall, Network Switches , VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems. Hands-on experience with IP-based video surveillance systems, networked access control systems, and related technologies.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of networking protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs. Proficiency with network security practices, including firewall management, VLANs, and encryption. Experience with specific security system technologies, such as IP cameras, video management software, NVRs/DVRs, and access control software. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices for security systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or certifications specific to security systems (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Axis, etc.) are preferred

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
