As a network engineer in the information and communication technology department, you can make your mark by putting management and continuity first and being responsible for infrastructure availability and continuity. You will also monitor, specify, select, install, and maintain networks and network components per agreed SLAs. In addition, you are concerned with optimizing the network.

As a network engineer, you act as a 2nd and 3rd line specialist for the Service Desk in case of malfunctions and problems. Your focus area is between the 1st line support and the architects, with a significant focus on management. In addition to your local activities in Abu Dhabi, you travel abroad to support our colleagues in their projects and the head office in the Netherlands.

The information and communication technology (ICT) department aims to support operational units (projects) and central staff departments in the field of automation. Our ICT department is increasingly called upon for our international projects. As a result, we are looking to strengthen and expand our team with a Network Engineer. Your location is our office in Abu Dhabi. The ICT departments working atmosphere is informal, characterized by professionalism, fun and cooperation.

Your responsibilities as a network engineer

• Solving first, second- and third-line network incidents in cooperation with our servicedesk.
• Management and monitoring of the Boskalis-LAN.
• Installation of (security) parches.
• Continues optimization of our network.
• Keep track of the network designs.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as network engineer if you have:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar environment.
• A good command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Knowledge and experience with Fortinet and Cisco.
• CCNP level certification.
• Experience with ITSM tooling, preferably Topdesk.
• A service-oriented attitude that you combine with independence and an entrepreneurial attitude.
