Job Description

Network Engineer- Abu Dhabi Network Engineer shall provide support for LAN and WAN infrastructure including, but not limited to the following: 1. Reactive fault resolution. 2. Perform proactive fault detection and diagnostic procedures. 3. Coordinating with Etisalat for WAN link outages until resolution with proper RCA. 4. Configuration of VLANs. 5. Document the network IP schema used across the organization. 6. Ensure availability of network switches, routers, firewalls, and other network components. 7. Configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and other network components based on business requirements. 8. Document and modify the network designs when required. 9. Periodically review and recommend changes to the IP schema. 10. Design / Plan for new office expansion projects. 11. Patch Management of switches, routers, firewalls, and other network components and upgrading its operating system to the appropriate level as needed. 12. Backup and restore the configuration settings of switches, routers, firewalls, and other network components as needed. 13. All Network and Network security project management. 14. Attend all work-related activities during working hours and none working hours as required. 15. Ensure redundancy for the network infrastructure to support and provide business continuity in case of any disaster. 16. Incident management; if an outage occurs, Network Engineer will perform trouble isolation, coordination, and resolution. 17. Ensure that all network devices are secure and maintain the latest patches and updates in accordance with approved and updated security policies and standards. 18. Liaison with service providers for uptime of provided network services. 19. Network alerts monitoring & Management. 20. Bandwidth Monitoring and recommendation of any possible optimizations. 21. Create and maintain a network diagram of all network components related to the domain. 22. Manage all Network projects prerequisites and liaise with project implementer as single point of contact 23. Acquire and utilize necessary Network monitoring and reporting tools to support Functions 24. Administration and configuration of firewalls / security appliances. 25. Respond to the incoming security alerts/incidents from SOC team and take any necessary action and coordinate back with them till the closure of each case in a timely manner. 26. End-to-end support to all network assets. Unified Collaboration Management The telecom support required includes management of all aspects of hardware and software and PRI / DIR lines related to IP telephony and/or any mobile devices in addition to the Call Manager including but not limited to the following key responsibilities: Unified Collaboration Management 1. Identification of telecommunication needs. 2. Train users as requested by organization. For back end, MSP shall manage, and monitor IP Telephony System based on Cisco Technology (UCS), this includes but not limited to the following: 1. Configure the IP phones with extension. 2. Configure Unity Voice Mail and integrate with the mail services. 3. Configure wireless IP phones as needed. 4. Recommend any beneficial IP telephony infrastructure upgrades in line with new technology. 5. Ensure the availability of the Call Manager and the attached systems like voice mail. 6. Manage Cisco Call Manager / Unity and voice gateway routers. 7. Manage PRI lines from Business side and the relationship with ISPs. 8. Schedule call manager, unity and voice gateway router backup. 9. Support end users using S4B / Cisco Jabber client whether from inside or outside network. 10. Support and manage audio/video conferences across all meeting rooms. Wireless Management 1. Manage and maintain the wireless infrastructure (controller and APs) across all branches. 2. Configure and maintain separate SSIDs to isolate the corporate and guest wireless networks. 3. Configure and manage DHCP pools for all access points. Configure and manage TLS based authentication for corporate wireless networks. 5. Enable and configure posturing / client profiling through Cisco ISE. 6. Configure and maintain security polices within the firewall and wireless controller to control wireless networks traffic. 7. Upgrade the wireless controller firmware based on best practices to enhance security and other management features. 8. Coordinate with vendors for wireless expansion projects throughout branches as needed. 9. Utilize necessary Network monitoring and reporting tools to support this function.
