Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled

Network and Security Engineer

to join our team in

Qatar

. The role involves designing and managing secure, high-performance network environments with strong expertise in switching, cloud, and virtualization. Experience in firewalls, endpoint protection, and multi-vendor integration is essential. The candidate should be capable of handling multiple tasks, configurations, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure secure and optimized infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Strong hands-on expertise in switching technologies, including Cisco Nexus and cross-vendor network integration. Design and implement robust IT architectures and scalable network environments Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols: MPLS (Layer 2/3), BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DVMRP, PIM. Manage virtualization, cloud migration, and data center optimization using technologies like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Azure/AWS. Lead deployments of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Virtual Data Centers (VDC). Manage network security: ACLs, IPSec/SSL VPNs, AAA, endpoint protection (AV, EDR, SIEM). Collaborate on AI-ready infrastructure and support real-time analytics integration using platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI, Google Cloud AI, and Elastic Stack. Support cloud-based architectures (IaaS/PaaS) and hybrid environments. Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and escalations. Maintain technical documentation and performance baselines. Confidently lead customer presentations and design workshops. Handle multiple tasks and configurations across diverse environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 4-9 years of experience in Information Security and IT infrastructure. 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Security Engineer. Deep understanding of enterprise security concepts and architecture.

Certifications (Preferred)

Having certifications such as CCIE, VCAP-NV, or Fortinet NSE is a strong plus. Other relevant licenses or vendor-specific certifications in networking, security, or cloud technologies will also be considered favorably.
