Role Purpose

As a Net Zero and Decarbonisation Lead at JLL, you will be directly responsible for leading the delivery of challenging sustainability projects related to Net Zero ambitious projects and their Decarbonisation pathways as well as design, construction and operational sustainable design. Strong technical hands-on experience and knowledge of carbon management, building software modelling tools for operational carbon and embodied carbon analysis, as well as large scale portfolio net zero roadmap development.

Your continuous development of skills and adoption of new technologies is key to the impact you will have in this role. You will interact with clients and vendors to develop collaborative solutions, support project related documentation, perform research, support weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items. Your knowledge of commercial real estate operations, sustainability and energy management, construction and engineering/architectural industry will speak to your ability to collaborate with your team in delivering innovative and industry changing projects.

What this job involves

• Report and support the Director of Sustainability
• Work closely with clients to manage and deliver their Net Zero projects
• Deliver technical work including but not limited to:

• Building simulation
• Developing environmental key performance indicators
• Carbon accounting
• Design input to built environment and infrastructure projects
• Design calculations where needed to support energy performance, lighting, thermal comfort, etc.
• Lead the delivery of Net Zero and Decarbonisation of the JLL Sustainability team
• Present and support advocacy of advancing Net Zero in the region
• Support with the business development through networking, bid development and marketing
• Mentor junior staff

• Relationship-building & interpersonal skills
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in:

• Sustainable designs and policies
• Net Zero roadmap setting
• Decarbonization methods and tools
• Whole-life carbon assessment (preference of knowledge of One Click LCA)
• Modelling/simulation tool interrogation and working knowledge (preference to IES knowledge and experience)
• Materiality reviews
• GCC regional specific knowledge and experience
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including presentational skills
• Facilitating discussion of diverse viewpoints and brokering agreement
• Analytical skills
• Ability to translate often complex sustainability information
• Confident and self-motivated, with good use of initiative
• High level of competence in using standard software packages (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
