independent quality verifier
, providing unbiased evaluations on behalf of clients or regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct NDT inspections using certified methods such as UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT at fabrication yards, construction sites, workshops, or in-service locations.
Verify and validate inspection procedures and techniques used by contractors or vendors.
Review and assess calibration records, testing procedures, and equipment readiness.
Interpret radiographs, ultrasonic results, and other inspection data with accuracy and neutrality.
Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and surveillance findings to the client or relevant authorities.
Ensure inspections are carried out in compliance with industry standards.
Witness and audit vendor and contractor NDT operations, ensuring adherence to quality protocols and safety procedures.
Maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and impartiality throughout all assignments.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Valid
Level II or Level III certifications
(ASNT, PCN, ISO 9712) in at least two or more of the following:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Radiographic Testing (RT)
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
Visual Testing (VT)
Minimum 2
+ years of experience
in NDT inspection.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and ITPs.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
UAE driving license is an advantage.
Ability to work independently at various sites across the UAE.
