Joining the Microsoft team as the National Technology Officer/ Chief Technology Officer, you will be one of the leading voices of how technology, business and societal opportunities together fuel the current fundamental digital transformation in Italy. Responsibilities:

In this role, you need to be a great leader on the transformational power of technology, enjoy and strive in complex situations, have a perpetual growth mindset, combined with a long term strategic view for your country and the company . You need to have a comprehensive understanding in contemporary developments of businesses, organizational models, technology developments, technology policy and societal implications and the interactions of these.

Building trust in Technology

• As trusted advisor on how customers and partners experience regulatory matters on leading edge cloud & AI technologies, like privacy, security, compliance, sovereignty and how to execute these risk management processes.

• Partner with the Microsoft Corporate External and Legal Affairs team to contribute to the evolution of the unprecedented wave of digital regulations currently under development

• A deep and visionary understanding of how technology can be used responsibly in organizations and the nation, including the ability to communicate effectively complex compliancy concepts

Strategic and Business influencer

• The ability to think and execute strategically, supporting the Leadership team in growing the business.

• A demonstrated expertise in building and leveraging sustained relationships with:

o Ministerial level of government and their technical advisors

o Leading think tanks on relevant technical, social and policy topics

o C-level and board room level executives in their Cloud&AI journey

Innovation Ambassador

• Articulate Microsoft\xe2\x80\x98s technology vision, strategy, and capabilities and the positive impact these have on citizens, society and the business of government

• Leveraging long term executive relationships in customers and government, be the voice of technology driven innovation

• A good technical understanding of the current and future technology domains, including hyperscale cloud, Generative AI, standards, regulatory compliancy, confidential compute, advanced workforce and productivity tools. A demonstrated depth (Level 300) in one of the domains mentioned before.

• A high and demonstrated competence in public speaking

• Significant experience and expertise in representing complex company or product strategies to members of press and analysts

• Demonstrated competence in working within a virtual team environment and accomplishment of goals and objectives through influence not under direct management control.

Qualifications:

Deep experience in complex and large scale technology projects or experience in engineering or data center area

• A deep understanding of the impact of technology; how it drives the current worldwide digital transformation in businesses and society
• Competence in risk management, security and compliancy processes
• A good understanding of the technology policy environment and how it impacts customers and markets in their transformation
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build valuable relationships and cultivate sustainable advisory roles
• Competence in public speaking and in presenting complex company or product strategies in a compelling manner

Education:

Degree in Computer Science or similar information technology-related or engineering discipline required. Master\'s or PhD preferred
