Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake servicing, engine diagnostics, and suspension work. Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical issues efficiently. Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, and cooling systems. Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Communicate clearly with customers or service advisors about vehicle issues, repair options, and estimated timelines. Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a motor mechanic or automotive technician. Completion of a relevant motor mechanic apprenticeship or technical training. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. Valid driver's license (manual and automatic preferred). Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications:



Certification from a recognized automotive training body (e.g., ASE, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds). Experience with both petrol and diesel engines.
