Job Description

This is a 12-month mandate based in Chichaoua, Morocco.

The mandate is part of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) Equality in Action, which is being implemented in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in the countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable initiatives that advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, which work with the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, in claiming and exercising their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of all its actions.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

In close collaboration with the Oxfam team in Morocco and the partner organization Anaouat, the advisor will be responsible for:

Monitoring and research to identify new calls for project proposals; Supporting Anaouat in the development and implementation of innovative projects; Supporting Anaouat in its quest for visibility among potential donors and/or technical partners by developing tools to raise awareness of its areas of focus, mission and vision; Providing support in implementing practices and tools for mobilising financial resources; Exploring alternative and innovative financing options with the partner.

To be eligible for this mandate, you must:

Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; Hold a university degree in international development, project or program management, or another relevant field; Have at least 2 years of professional experience in financial resource mobilization, fundraising, or project management; Have a good knowledge of results-based management (RBM); Be a good listener and show respect for the practices of local organizations; Be proficient in Office Suite, Teams and Zoom; Be fluent in spoken and written French (mandatory). Fluency in Arabic would be an asset.

Monthly allowance for your living expenses; 20% bonus on the living allowance for an accompanying child (maximum of 2 children). CAD 1,500 per year/per child for schooling.
