Job Description

This is a 12-month assignment based in Chichaoua, Morocco.



The assignment is part of the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Programme (VCP), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in the countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organisations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalised people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam puts the rights of women, girls and vulnerable and marginalised people at the heart of all its actions.


This is what your day-to-day work will look like:



Working closely with partner organisation Anaouat and members of the Oxfam team in Morocco, the advisor will be responsible for:


Supporting Anaouat in developing monitoring and evaluation tools that can be adapted to any type of project; Supporting Anaouat in creating an internal monitoring and evaluation service (or department); Support Anaouat in developing reports, analysing data and capitalising on lessons learned; Support Anaouat in developing computerised tools for project monitoring.

For this mandate, you must:



Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; Hold a university degree in monitoring and evaluation, project management, social sciences, statistics and data analysis, or any other relevant field; Have two years of relevant experience in project management and/or monitoring and evaluation; Have a good knowledge of results-based management (RBM); Have field work experience in sometimes unusual conditions (an asset). Be fluent in spoken and written French (mandatory) and Arabic (an asset); Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
