About the QRM Service Line

The QRM team provide strategic, innovative, creative and most importantly quality services and solutions to enable our people every day to give the best external client service. The QRM team promotes and monitors compliance with applicable auditing and accounting standards, external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage Grant Thornton's regulatory, litigation and reputational risk.

As a Monitoring Specialist some of your responsibilities will include:

Monitor the implementation and ongoing operation of the System of Quality Management (ISQM 1). Conduct regular reviews of audit engagements to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards. Identify areas for improvement in audit quality and provide recommendations to engagement teams. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures. Support the Director of QRM in preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections. Provide training and guidance to audit teams on quality management and compliance matters. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to quality and risk management. Prepare reports on the findings of monitoring activities and present them to senior management.

Skills

Think you've got what it takes to be a Monitoring Specialist? Like the color purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

Professional Qualification: ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 5 years in audit or quality management, with at least 2 years in a monitoring or compliance role. Background: Prior experience in a large professional services firm is mandatory. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISQM 1, IFRS, ISAs, and the IESBA Code of Ethics. Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Regulatory Exposure: Experience dealing with UAE and international regulators is a plus.
