Job Description
As a Mobile Hose Technician you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales and service activities within a designated geographical area, This includes carrying out quality and safe hose assembly as required by the company and client, which are fit for purpose satisfying our customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
As a Mobile Hose Technician you are responsible for:

- Generate revenue in order to achieve agreed monthly and annual sales budget.
- Promote and use all product lines when and where applicable.
- Conduct and promote professional services at all times.
- Be able to prepare assemblies using a variety of hoses and be competent using equipment required.
- Develop and maintain good relationship with new and existing customers in order to maximize company sales, and product/service capability.
- Complete all sales related documentation i.e. costing sheets, quotation protocols, correct and concise job requisitions.
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and is submitted timely, including collection of purchase orders (PO's) to support any transaction; these should be collected within 7 days of the sale unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Finance Department.
- Ensure customers are charged correctly for fittings, material, or any other product and this information is recorded accurately manually on the delivery notes and in the Orion operating system.
- Upkeep and maintenance of vehicle and all equipment (maintained, clean and hazard free) and carry out a daily check as part of van maintenance against the check list provided by Gates QA / QC; any issues should be reported to the Supervisor / Line Manager immediately.
- Ensure a quick and efficient response to all client call outs at any time.
- Provide 24/7 service year round to the customers within the designated geographical area and ensure organizational and client deadlines are met when required.
- Responsible and accountable for any loss, damage or destruction of tools, machines, equipment or products in your mobile service van.
- Be able to identify and use all types of hoses for the purpose specified by the customer order. Recording of measurements and stock usage as the jobs are carried out
- Ensure all transactions are carried out in compliance with the applicable standards, Company Quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice to the QHSE Department of any non-conformance issues
Required Experience:
- Ability to work under own initiative and solve problems.
- Experience in or capability of managing a customer account and project management.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of product application should have technical and trade background and should possess basic computer skills.
- Knowledge on fitting sizes viz JIC, BSP, NPT etc.
- Ability to choose correct hose, fitting and belt options based on information given by customer
- Customer focused and self-motivated.
- Should have Two to Eight years of experience in a Hose related industry.
- Preferred to have Vocational or Technical Qualification
- Should hold a Valid UAE Driving License.
Required Skills:
- Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.
- Ability to resolve common problems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Able to use hand/power tools and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal (Arabic and Hindi would be an advantage) and to operate a computer system and generate system based transactions and documentation.
- Professionalism and ability to exercise discretion with confidential information at all times is required.
- Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures.
- Good numerical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & API Q1, 7K & 16C standards are preferable.
