Our esteemed client, a leading investment bank with an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is currently seeking a diligent and knowledgeable MLRO Compliance Officer to join their team.
They specialise in providing a wide range of financial services to their clients, including investment advisory, asset management, and capital markets solutions.
As the MLRO Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company\'s compliance with local and international regulations, specifically focusing on anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) measures. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing effective compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Conducting ongoing monitoring and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and advising the business on their implications.
Providing training and support to employees on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Conducting internal investigations and reporting any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including legal, risk management, and senior management, to ensure compliance objectives are met.
The Candidate
Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Law. ACAMS would be an advantage.
Proven experience (X years) as a Compliance Officer, preferably within the banking or financial services sector, with a focus on AML/CTF compliance.
In-depth knowledge of local and international regulatory frameworks, including DIFC regulations.
Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent would be highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in complex situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Salary and Benefits
AED 45,000 per month, plus company benefits
