Key Duties & Responsibilities (8 Points)



Welding Operations

- Perform high-quality

MIG (GMAW) welding

on steel structures including beams, columns, plates, and brackets.

Weld Preparation

- Clean, grind, and align components before welding as per fabrication drawings.

Interpret Drawings

- Read and understand shop drawings, weld symbols, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).

Joint Assembly

- Tack and fit parts using jigs and fixtures to maintain accuracy and alignment.

Quality Compliance

- Ensure welds meet visual inspection standards and comply with internal QC requirements.

Machine Setup

- Set up MIG welding machines with correct voltage, wire speed, and shielding gas for various steel thicknesses.

Workplace Safety

- Follow all safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

- Keep tools and work areas clean; assist in basic maintenance of welding equipment.
