Job Description
Siemens Energy is seeking a Commissioning and Controls Field Service Engineer working on the following product lines for New installations and Service. You will be primarily working on Gas Turbines & Rotating Equipment. Preferred core competency ideally should include knowledge and experience of various controls systems ideally on MGT (SGT 600,SGT 700,SGT 800).
- Siemens SPPA T3000, S7 & PCS7
- Allen-Bradley (FT100, FT125 etc)
- Woodward
- Different instrumentation and controls systems
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on Siemens Energy products
- Carry out Controls Installation & Commissioning activities on newly installed equipment and during service-related maintenance/Upgrades
- Carry out trouble-shooting and rectifying faults
- Have an understanding of packaged and ancillary equipment.
- Work Safely and in accordance with the companies written operating instructions.
- To take part in product training programs to ensure continued role competency and/or development.
- Produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and/or improve system reliability and availability.
- Take part in root cause analysis and fault diagnostics as required
- We are looking for a degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Equivalent Education or have vocational qualifications in electrical and/or controls systems in these cases with at least 5 years
- of related engineering experience or in a similar role.
- We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to commission, fault find, maintain and service equipment we have supplied to our customers.

- Have a strong work ethic and able to demonstrate initiative, be a flexible self-starter, working with the minimum direction and have the ability to work with a wide range of people as well as be a team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You will have worked in an Instrumentation and Controls discipline, ideally on multiple controls platforms, including HMI systems and panel based electrical systems.
- Able to interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics.
- Ability to mobilize at short notice for emergency situations as well being away from home for extended periods including weekends.
- Extensive travel will be required for this position 80% within domestic and international.
- Hold or be able to obtain offshore working certificates
- Excellent and professional communication skills both written and oral. This includes the ability to hold difficult discussions with customers to protect company interests.
- Hold a valid passport and driving license.
- Have experience of using Virtual, RDS and tooling associated with the work is preferred.
- Cross product knowledge and experience on SGT/TCP/AGT will be an added advantage.
