Job Title: Metering & Calibration Technician/Engineer

1. Education Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation & Control Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering

2. Experience Requirements

Minimum

3 years

of hands-on experience in

metering or calibration

roles, preferably in:

Oil & Gas Sector Power Generation Industrial Water Treatment Facilities

Key Experience Areas

:

Calibration & validation of fiscal and non-fiscal instruments Flow meter proving Custody transfer systems Use of provers and analyzer software

3. Technical Skills & ResponsibilitiesCalibration Proficiency

Flow Meters

: Positive Displacement (PD) Turbine Electromagnetic Coriolis Ultrasonic

Provers

: Tank Provers & Test Measures (Water Draw & Gravimetric Methods) Pipe Provers (Water Draw & Master Meter Methods)

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Flow meters of all types Pipe and compact provers

Installation & Commissioning

Field instruments Electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems Loop checking Temperature and pressure calibrators Airflow, analytical, and laboratory instrumentation

Documentation & Reporting

Post-calibration report and certificate generation (in-house and onsite) Compliance with engineering documentation, asset tracking, and inventory systems Work order completion aligned with HSE documentation

4. Knowledge of Standards & Compliance

Familiarity with calibration procedures and tools Understanding of hazardous area classifications Knowledge of metering standards such as: API MPMS ISO OIML Awareness of international custody transfer and fiscal metering regulations

5. Software & Digital Tools

Proficiency in metering analyzer software Calibration data management systems Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

6. Soft Skills & Core Competencies

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proactive customer service and support orientation Ability to work independently and take initiative Effective organizational and time management skills Capable of supervising and coordinating technical personnel Team collaboration and interpersonal communication Project planning and execution Fluency in

(Arabic or Hindi is an added advantage)

7. Additional Requirements

UAE Driving License

: Preferred or willing to obtain within 3 months Willingness to travel regularly to client sites Capability to handle emergency repairs and service calls Ability to lead or supervise technical teams in the field
