MEP/FM Work Estimator
to join our team immediately.
To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP and Facilities Management (FM) works including material take-offs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Review and interpret MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, specifications, and tender documents for facilities management-related projects.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather relevant data for estimation.
Conduct site visits to understand project scope, verify measurements, and assess conditions for proper estimation.
Analyze technical drawings and specifications to ensure estimates are aligned with actual project requirements and FM standards.
Develop and maintain standardized cost databases for frequently used materials and services within the FM/MEP domain.
Participate in tendering processes including pre-qualification, bid preparation, submission, and clarification stages.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for MEP-related items and validate estimates.
Evaluate cost variations and provide cost analysis reports for ongoing and completed projects.
Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising on compliance or performance standards.
Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, project requirements, and regulatory codes.
Keep updated with current MEP material prices, labor market trends, and innovations in FM technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
A minimum of
2-3 years of experience in estimation
, specifically within
Facilities Management or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects
.
Strong technical background in
MEP systems
and their applications in building operations and facilities maintenance.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with
estimation software or ERP systems
relevant to FM/MEP projects is a plus.
Excellent
numerical, analytical, and technical interpretation skills
.
Strong
attention to detail
and ability to work with precision under time constraints.
Capable of managing multiple estimation requests simultaneously in a
fast-paced environment
.
Professional demeanor and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Fluency in
Hindi, English, and Arabic (preferred)
.
Additional certifications in
quantity surveying, cost estimation, or FM/MEP
fields are an added advantage.
