Job Summary

:

The MEP Technician is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility or project site. The role focuses on electrical installations such as

ATS panel setup, cabling, and cable glanding works

, while ensuring all activities meet technical standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

:

Electrical Works

Install, test, and commission Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), distribution boards, and electrical control panels. Perform cabling works, including cable routing, laying, dressing, and termination. Carry out cable glanding and lugging according to technical specifications. Ensure proper earthing, insulation resistance testing, and circuit continuity checks. Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layout plans.

Mechanical & Plumbing Support

Assist in the installation and maintenance of basic HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems when required. Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure smooth MEP integration during installation or maintenance works.

General Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with

safety standards and company procedures

at all times. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as scheduled. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs promptly. Prepare service reports and update maintenance records accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and materials.

Qualification & Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or MEP discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in MEP or electrical installations.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, cabling, and power distribution. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. Understanding of safety practices and use of electrical tools. Basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

Ability to work independently and within a team. Willingness to work on-site and flexible to project schedules. Good communication and reporting skills.
