MEP SUPERVISOR
Job Title: MEP Supervisor
Reports To: Project Manager / FM Manager
Job Summary:
The MEP Supervisor is a site-based leadership role responsible for overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities. This includes supervising in-house technicians and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role is critical during both construction projects and the operational phase of large facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision & Work Coordination:
• Lead, direct, and supervise a team of MEP technicians and subcontractors.
• Plan and allocate daily work tasks, ensuring adequate resources and materials are available.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all team members are briefed on safe working methods.
• Quality & Compliance Control:
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor work quality and progress against project specifications and drawings.
• Ensure all MEP installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
• Manage the testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Administration & Reporting:
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and records of manpower.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, Client, and other trade supervisors.
• Identify and report on any potential issues, delays, or variations to the project scope.
• Review method statements and risk assessments from subcontractors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Essential:
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MEP, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, construction sequences, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Desirable:
• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Certified MEP Coordinator or similar qualification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
