Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost estimates for MEP scopes (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.). Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to define the scope and identify cost / risk items. Manage pre-contract and post-contract cost estimation; prepare tender submissions. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, perform cost comparisons, and assist in procurement. Monitor project budgets, track cost variations and change orders, and maintain cost control throughout construction. Prepare interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts. Liaise with MEP engineers, project managers, site teams, and consultants to ensure alignment of design, scope, and cost. Maintain commercial documentation, reports, cost forecasts, and ensure compliance with contractual / legal requirements. Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project cost without compromising quality.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or similar field. Proven track record:

3-5 years

of experience in MEP quantity surveying in UAE handling both pre-contract and post-contract phases. Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical (power / lighting / ELV), plumbing, fire protection, etc. Familiarity with local market rates, suppliers, labour costs in UAE. Experience with tendering, contracts (e.g. FIDIC or local contracts), cost control, valuations. Proficiency in MS Excel; good working knowledge of AutoCAD / drawings review; ideally experience with QS / estimation software . Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure.
