Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
Interim valuations and payment certificates;
Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
Risk and value management and cost control functions;
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
Experience with utilising various forms of contract and contract administration support
Reporting to Senior Quantity Surveyor on all commercial issues;
Attendance and representation at commercial meetings;
Costs analysis of project work;
Capture lessons learned and use in improving various tools and processes to improve the approach in delivering projects.
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with demonstrable experience in high-rise building projects in Dubai.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and costs.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with local regulations and practices in the UAE.
RICS or equivalent professional membership is preferred.
