Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

MEP Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tender preparation, and commercial analysis for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role requires accuracy, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with project, procurement, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works in line with project specifications. Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings, IFT documents, and design layouts. Analyze and evaluate subcontractor quotations for compliance with project requirements and recommend suitable vendors. Support the tendering process by preparing accurate cost breakdowns, value engineering options, and competitive pricing strategies. Review tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings. Provide support in negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive rates and favorable terms. Maintain a comprehensive database of material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor performance for future references.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum

6-8 years of experience

as MEP Quantity Surveyor / Estimator in the GCC (Qatar experience preferred). Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV). Proficient in quantity take-off and estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Planswift, Excel). Strong understanding of tendering procedures, BOQ preparation, and contractual terms. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills. Familiarity with

MEP materials, suppliers, and subcontractor market rates

in Qatar. Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
