Quantity Surveyor - MEP Job description / Role:
- Estimate and prepare budgets for MEP projects.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports.
- Analyze project specifications and ensure compliance.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess progress and materials used.
- Collaborate with project managers to control costs and budgets.
- Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
- Assess variations and change orders and adjust budgets accordingly.
- Provide advice on cost-effective measures.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
- Proven experience of minimum 4 years as a Quantity Surveyor in the MEP industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software\xe2\x80\x99s.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
